Woo! As a HUGE fan of pretty much every animated movie that Pixar has made, I was over the moon with excitement and pride that Pixar has opened an animation studio in my hood; the heritage district of Vancouver, Canada: Gastown.
The artsy, funky, edgy vibe of Gastown suits Pixar perfectly, and we’re super excited that they have chosen this area to open their animation studio.
They couldn’t have opened the studio in a better space than the old “Workspace” space in The Packing House, a fantastic heritage building featuring cool art deco style concrete re-enforced pillars, exposed brick walls, and exposed beam ceilings. A very cool space indeed.
